HOW WE LIKE TO PREPARE JANE
Sift 1-2 teaspoons of matcha into a bowl (trust us, no clumps allowed). Add a splash of hot-but-not-too-hot water (175°F is the sweet spot), then whisk it up with your bamboo whisk in a zigzag motion until it’s frothy.
Want to jazz it up? Add milk for a latte, ice for a chill vibe, or keep it classic. Sip, savor, and bask in your matcha-making brilliance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I store my matcha?
Keep your matcha fresh and fabulous by storing it in an airtight container, away from heat, light, and moisture. Think: a cool, dark place (like Jane’s calm vibe) rather than a sunny windowsill (totally Lucy, but not ideal for matcha).
What’s the best way to prepare matcha?
Sift, whisk, sip—it’s that simple! Sift 1-2 teaspoons of matcha into a bowl (trust us, no clumps allowed). Add a splash of hot-but-not-too-hot water (175°F is the sweet spot), then whisk it up with your bamboo whisk in a zigzag motion until it’s frothy.
Is matcha caffeinated?
Yes, but it’s a gentle, steady energy boost—like a friendly pep talk from Lucy and Jane. No jitters, just focus and calm vibes.
Can I use matcha in recipes?
Absolutely! Matcha isn’t just for sipping. Try it in lattes, smoothies, baked goods, or even as a pancake topper. Lucy loves to experiment, and Jane makes sure it always turns out amazing.
What’s the difference between Lucy’s and Jane’s matcha blends?
Lucy’s blends are bold and adventurous—think vibrant, unexpected flavors. Jane’s blends are smooth and soothing, perfect for grounding moments. Choose the vibe that fits your day (or mix it up—we won’t tell!).

As a matcha addict, I’m blown away by the quality and creativity of this spot. The cherry with lucy is phenomenal. I want to go over and over again.
I found L&J at the seaport market and have become a maniac for it. The staff is super friendly and make it an experience . The matcha is delicious and I can’t wait to purchase some to have in the house. I hope you open up a shop soon!!! And my son loves the kids drink menu. Win win!
The Cloudy and Make it Rain is by far the best matcha in Boston and beyond!!
Best matcha I had in boston!
I found this Matcha place at the Seaport Summer Market. I’ve visited them about 3 times now, SUPER friendly people who you can tell just love matcha as much as we all do. They have very different matcha lattes than what I’ve tried before. I had my first Americano esk matcha and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it (this sold me on purchasing their matcha powder), and also I tried an ube matcha latte for the first time with them. and they sprayed some type of floral essence over it, delicious! Always a great experience with them
